Are farmers’ Markets affordable?

Years ago it was true that Farmers’ Markets were on a whole more expensive than your local grocer, but with the past few years of a very tumultuous economy and rises costs of just about everything, this is no longer the case. While food costs at the store have steadily rose and we have all struggled to feed our families healthy and affordable food, our farmers and market vendors have stayed relatively consistent in their prices.

Can I use my snap benefits at the market?

Absolutely! Just visit our Manager’s Booth to purchase Market Tokens with your EBT card. The tokens spend just like SNAP benefits and can be used to purchase any SNAP-eligible items at the farmers market including fruits, vegetables, bread, eggs, and meat.
The Trumansburg Farmers’ Market also participates in the Double Up Food Bucks program that runs from July through October. For every $2 spent with your SNAP benefits, you receive $2 of Double Up Food Bucks to spend on any New York-grown fruits and vegetables, up to $20 per day.

are dogs welcome at the market?

We love having dogs at the Farmers’ Market, however our biggest goal is the safety of our Market community. Please see our Rules Page for more information about bringing along your Furry Family Members!

Is there hot food available at the market?

We have a variety of rotating food trucks and hot food vendors weekly at the Trumansburg Farmers’ Market! Come by each week for something new for dinner!

Where should I park?

There is parking available across Route 96 from the Village Park, as well as a parking lot behind the Village Park. If those two lots are full, there is street and municipal parking available in the Village just a short walk away.

Is the Trumansburg Farmers’ Market Inclusive to all people?

Firmly, yes. We welcome all members of our community from all walks of life, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other factor. The reason Trumansburg is so special is because of all of its residents and who they are as people. We want all of our community members to feel at home at the Trumansburg Farmers’ Market.
